I saw these MZ Wallace bags at a dapartment store here in town last year. I carried it around the handbag department for awhile, while I tired to decide if I should buy it or not. I didn’t end up doing it. Not because I didn’t like it, but because I thought I shouldn’t spend the money at the time (I think I was supposed to be Christmas shopping!)
Several MZ Wallace bags showed up on one of my favorite blogs this morning, and renewed my interest. I hopped over to www.mzwallace.com to check out the most recent selection and fell in deep love all over again.
Yes, I know I am handbag crazy this weekend, but I had to post this Black Bedford w/Black Oxford Ava tote because it will make an amazing fall/winter bag this year. And it’s spacious enough to stow mittens, hats and more, should winter decide to show up in the Midwest this year.
Why wait until Christmas to break out the Christmas lights?
I would argue that Christmas lights are better in the summer than they are sans sub zero temperatures anyway. It’s fun to sit out under a dark sky filled with twinkling stars, while you have your own personal, twinkling stars close enough to touch.
I’m on a mission to find twinkle lights that you don’t have to plug in because, after all, who wants ugly, heavy-duty extension cords running through their backyard paradise? Not me.
Rain boots. I don’t have ’em. I’ve ordered and tried on loads of rain boots… my calves are too big. (Don’t get me started on that annoying subject!)
So when Aigle rain boots popped up on Gilt.com this morning for $99, I was intrigued. I always look, but never buy. But I love how cute they are on people with skinny legs and who are taller than 5’3″ on a good day.
I probably won’t buy rain boots, but for those of you, who love them AND look good in them (grrrrrr…), this is a pretty FAB price for Aigles. I also won’t buy them because we’ve skipped the second half of winter and spring, and moved right into a sunny summer here.
They have them in virtually every color too. But these are a few of my faves…
I’ve been looking for some water proof boots for my short commute back and forth to preschool 3 days a week. Fortunately and unfortunately, my son’s preschool is right across the street, which means we can walk out our front door and up the block to get there in a matter of minutes. This also means that it’s absurd to drive it when the weather is horribly nasty, slick and wet.
So I am on the lookout for rain/snow boots. I have been looking at these particular Sportos for a few months now and have finally decided to make them my feature. I love the print, calling to mind a little spring time even in the dead of winter.
And speaking of dead, I am completely dead set on ordering them too. If it wasn’t Christmas shopping season… the season for giving… to other people, I probably would’ve done it already without guilt.
And if I need further motivation, these are one of the least expensive pairs of boots on Zappos.com. This is something that never happens to me!
I have found the sweater for every occasion. I love this slim fitting sweater with the peplum bottom, scrunchable arms and of course, the deep cowl neck. I’m thinking tweed mini, tights that pop, some lace up booties and voila, you are day to night ready!
My Wonderful World of Fashion Book, "Kids" jcrew.com $19.95
Thinking about winter has me thinking about activities that will keep us busy indoors for a minimum of four months. As I perused the crewcuts girls section of JCrew.com (another deep-seeded covet here), I found this great activity book for blooming fashionistas. What a great gift for little girls, who love all things fashion!
And lest you think I wouldn’t consider buying this for my own long, cold, wintry day activity, let me remind you that I still have an arsenal of couture Barbie dolls (a collection started after I became old enough to legally drink) stashed away in storage. I can color with the best of them!
