If you’ve been reading this blog for even a minute, you know that sometimes I put things on here that are “nice-to-haves” instead of “have-to-haves.”
This Vera Wang embroidered jacket in silk mesh and organza is a “die-to-have!” Is it practical? No. Is it affordable? No. Is it even splurgable? NO! (Someone please explain how at $2995, it’s already sold out! Who are these people?!)
But then, that’s what The Daily Covet is for, right?
I can soooo see this with brocade shorts or black silk harem pants. How positively exotic I would look going to… right, where would that be?
Michelle Williams either has a fabulous stylist or she has impeccable taste… probably both. But she looks amazing in this Louis Vuitton gown. The color looks great with her fair skin.

This is probably my favorite dress of the night…. not shocking that it’s on a super model. Milla looked polished and so Hollywood siren-y… almost like vintage Oscars.

I have this thing for green these days. Viola looks beautiful as this gown not only looks great against her skin, but it shows off her amazing arms and shoulders. She must have a great stylist too… and a great trainer!

I love everything Tom Ford has ever made, and this is no exception. Although, it looked so much better without the cape… down with the super hero look.

I was just watching that awful movie with Cameron, Kate Winslett and Jude Law today… thinking how Cameron is really not such a good actress. But she totally redeemed herself tonight by being a lovely presenter and looking stunning in this Gucci gown.
Everyone has a little black dress, right? If you are me, then you have like 30, in an array of sizes from 4-12! And that’s what I mean by “girl’s best friend,” but second in line would be this extravagant Vera Wang “diamond” necklace.
I absolutely cannot bring myself to buy one more dress, but what if I really, really need something fabulous? This little number can change the look of anything. And I love the inconsistency of stones and the “over the top” big ones that lend a sort of whimsy to the necklace. Now – at $900 – I would not wear it enough to justify the price, but some people would… and others would find an amazing knockoff, i.e. me.
Either way, your LBD goes to KYSOLBD (knock your socks off little black dress)!
