You know I love dresses. Cotton dresses. Little black dresses. Formal dresses and sundresses too.
And now I’m loving this little red dress from Kate Spade. It’s a perfectly shaped red shift with great lines, semi-cap sleeves and the best. color. EVER. Maraschino, if you must know.
I’m a major fan of Kate Spade and her new Paris-inspired line has me wanting more. And more. Dress this little frock up with animal print pumps or slip into gold sandals. And wear it virtually anywhere.
My husband and I are going to Vail in September. His cousin is getting married, and it’ll most likely feel pretty fall-ish up there in the mountains.
That means I’ll want to be thinking fall colors, and what better color than this “leaves turning red” red dress?
From the front, this Sachin + Babi dress is classic and elegant with plenty of ruching and a simple cut. The back features an exposed zipper in bold black, which always adds a touch of modern, if you ask me.
If it turns out to be downright cold, I can throw a classic, black satin trench over it. If it’s warm, the sleeveless style will be perfect.
The Lomellina® technical fabric is sourced from one of Italy’s top mills, and is as flattering as it is comfortable.
The criss-cross draping of this one-piece suit is also very figure flattering and the two-way stretch gives you a little extra assistance in the “holding in” department too.
At first glance, I thought this bathing suit would leave awful tan lines and then considered that I change up my bathing suits often for precisely that reason. The thick one-shoulder style is not only sophisticated, but would be perfect for keeping it in place while I was wading, chasing and swimming with my kids in the pool this summer.
And the “red chili” color? To. Die. For. Especially for a blonde like me!
I don’t know what my preoccupation is with red these days. I posted that cute cherry clutch the other day, and ever since the Talbots catalog showed up with their early fall line last year, I have been coveting red pants.
Then in a moment of weakness, I perused the sale selection online at J.Crew and there they were – the café trouser in wool, in the petite length, in my size….AND in maraschino cherry!
I had to have them! And they arrived today, but I have yet to unpack my cherry red beauties.
I hope to God that I love them, because as perfect as they are, they are also a final sale.
