Daily Covet: A few of my favorite things

I just looked back at the time stamp on my last post and realized I’m failing miserably at maintaining this blog. I sortof wish I could say I have got my covet-ing in check, but that wouldn’t be true. I still spend a lot of time “window shopping” online. That is to say, filling up my virtual carts and leaving them to sit un-checked out.

But this time of year, I’m taking special note because I have several people who ask for lists or just a few things that I may have my eye on for Christmas. And so, to make their lives easier and also to get a much-needed post on the books for the end of the year, a few of my favorite things is here!

“A few of my favorite things” is generally what I title this post each year, but it is also the song lyric from one of my favorite movies, “Sound of Music.” The movie also reminds me of the holidays because it used to be shown on public TV the night of Christmas. My family would cuddle up at my grandparents’ house after the dinner had been eaten and the packages had been opened.

Anywho, let’s get to it. From creamy tunic sweaters to spency designer watches and key fobs that will also charge your phone, here are a handful of items I love this year.

Daily Covet: #iPad Covers

I don’t have an iPad, but these cute iPad covers make me want to get one.  I work from home and prefer working on my MacBook instead.

I’ve never really longed for an iPad, but after seeing these cute cases, I might be coveting the device that’s all the rage too.  They give me that sortof vintage circus feeling like the walls of the Le Cirque at Bellagio itself.

There is something soothing about the colors, and both prints are brimming with whimsy.

I bet you can’t guess which is my favorite?!

Daily Covet: It’s time to put MAC to work!

HGTV Home Design for MAC, apple.com $49.95

Last Christmas, my darling husband surprised me with a Macbook.  I wanted one specifically to pacify that creative side in me.  To date, I have yet to use it for anything remotely resembling create and design!  As I was looking around for some software that would allow me to dig my heels in, I came across this HGTV Home Design for Mac software.

I have previously done some virtual room design and redecorate on sites like Lowes.com or EthanAllen.com but neither was very intuitive and I usually ended up giving up before I had accomplished what I really wanted to.

So today, I am coveting this seemingly awesome software so that I can put MAC to work!
