I have this renewed appreciation for the cross-body bag. I used to be more of a big bag girl – mostly because I can still carry a fabulous handbag to camouflage diapers, wipes, sippy cups and snacks.
My trip to New York a couple of weeks ago had me digging out my old Coach Station Bag – which I adore. But the bag is that soft and luxurious leather that Coach is famous for – in black. And since I turned over a new leaf and packed lighter than ever before for the weekend – my black Coach bag perfectly matched (read got lost in) all my black clothing.
That’s why I’ve decided that I need a bag that is equally as convenient and equally as timeless as my Station Bag. And while it shouldn’t be equally as black as my other bag, this Louis Vuitton Chantilly GM crossbody sadly won’t be as equally well-priced either.
It does, however, fit into my two-year-old motto, “Buy less. But buy better.” And it has that cool, new-ish peek-a-boo red trim on the strap. Love.
Michelle Williams either has a fabulous stylist or she has impeccable taste… probably both. But she looks amazing in this Louis Vuitton gown. The color looks great with her fair skin.

This is probably my favorite dress of the night…. not shocking that it’s on a super model. Milla looked polished and so Hollywood siren-y… almost like vintage Oscars.

I have this thing for green these days. Viola looks beautiful as this gown not only looks great against her skin, but it shows off her amazing arms and shoulders. She must have a great stylist too… and a great trainer!

I love everything Tom Ford has ever made, and this is no exception. Although, it looked so much better without the cape… down with the super hero look.

I was just watching that awful movie with Cameron, Kate Winslett and Jude Law today… thinking how Cameron is really not such a good actress. But she totally redeemed herself tonight by being a lovely presenter and looking stunning in this Gucci gown.
I am always on the hunt for a great dress – as you can see by the endless number of posts I’ve done on “the dress.”
This week, I have run across two of the most UH-MAZING, and dare I say simple in the most fantastic way, dresses. And fondly enough, they were both worn to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
One is this navy leather shift by 3.1 Phillip Lim. The leather is so butter-soft looking, and really lets you highlight gorgeous gams because of its simplicity. It looks great here with strappy sandals, but imagine it with some fierce knee boots!

And what’s not to absolutely love about this Louis Vuitton frock? Elegant, simple, totally wearable for any body type and another great way to show off fabulous footwear. Although the shoes are positively covet-worthy, I probably would’ve worn it with chunky gold to pump up the stunning emerald color – buuuuut Rooney didn’t ask me to be her stylist that day… her loss.
