Daily Covet: LOFT and the Riviera… and a birthday wish

I’m super excited to pick up some super adorbs shorts this summer!

And these Riviera shorts from LOFT are at the top of my list. I love LOFT because it’s so affordable – why pay full price when everything is on sale all the time?

Truth be told, I’d love to have virtually all of them! So maybe I can at least pick up a few of my faves!

I would also like to give a shout out to my “Mr. Middle” son, who showed up nine weeks early six years ago. Today he is as big, healthy, strong and perfect as ever. Happy Birthday Super G!

Daily Covet: Pink Sequin Mini

Pink is possibly my favorite color when it comes to dressing.

Sometimes, it’s hard to give it up when all the beautiful new fall colors hit the stores each year.  But thanks to this LOFT mini skirt, I won’t have to.

Pink.  Sequins.  And Mini.  Three of my favorite words — now they are all in one delicious skirt.  And because it’s from LOFT, I know it will fit great and be very affordable.  25% off the purchase price will also go towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.  What’s better than looking great AND being philanthropic?

I can’t wait to play around with this little number!

Daily Covet: LOFT Striped Trench

Sorry bloggy friends.  I’m running late today, but couldn’t let you go without the Daily Covet!

I’m thinking fall again.  Fall means outerwear (at least maybe it will this year!)

I saw this striped trench first in the LOFT Store here in town.  It looked pretty cute hanging on the wall, and figured I’d better go back and check on this cute trench online.

Loved it even more styled with bright pants and a neutral top.  It’s really such a great neutral, but the corded stripes give it dimension and cool-weather weight.

This trench coat would be great layered over hot pink, red, bright blue and more.  Or try it over other prints.  Need help with that?  Read more here.

Daily Covet: Easter Dress

We are just days from Easter, and this girl is thinking Easter dresses.  And since I have only boys, I get to buy easter dresses for me instead.

Easter is just one of those holidays that is fun to dress for.  It’s almost like dressing for the Kentucky Derby.  It calls to mind bright colors, feminine silhouettes, seersucker suits and let’s not forget, big hats with grosgrain ribbon.

Today, I’m posting some super cute, feminine and mostly bright dresses that I’d love to pair with my Eater bonnet.

What about you?  Do you like dressing for Easter?

Daily Covet: Tops, tops and more tops

A lack of tops in my closet make it impossible to get dressed some days.

It’s so much easier to pick my favorite pair of jeans or flowy linen pants than it is to find a topper.

So this morning I found a gaggle of blouses and tops at LOFT.com that are budget-friendly enough to stock up.

Dress Simply…

I could live in dresses.  In fact, in the spring, summer and fall, I usually do.

Dresses are easy.  They always fit, and if you buy the empire waisted ones that are so popular – and plentiful – in the marketplace they provide great coverage on those not so sleek days.

I love that I don’t have a waistband to get hot and sweaty in our middle America humidity.  I love that I’ve was able to wear non-maternity dresses a lot longer, even when I was pregnant.  And I love that I don’t have to find dresses to fit both my waist and my hips at the same time… a super irritating task when it comes to pants.

Here is a small collection of fun dresses (find shopping info on Polyvore.com) that are also very inexpensive, which is how I like my summer clothes because they are usually having picnics in the grass, drenched in sunscreen or semi-damp from being layered over my bathing suits.
