The fit is a little swing-like and the bottom hemline is “scalloped” along the natural lace line. I suppose if you’re tall enough, which I am not, you’d even be able to show a little bit of tummy – just enough to be sexy without being trashy.
Just saying “Christian Louboutin” makes me happy. So when these Louboutin Boudoir Flats caught my eye, I couldn’t help but to feature them on the Daily Covet.
The palest of pale underlayer followed by feminine black lace give these flats a less-than-subtle sexy vibe. Top to bottom, you’ll find a demure, black satin bow and trim followed by the signature red Louboutin soles, which are anything but innocent.
While I’ve been sucked into another season of The Voice, I have also managed to catch a few of the shows following its Monday and Tuesday night time slots. And Fashion Star is the object of my affection from 9 – 10pm CST, Tuesday nights.
The primary reason I love this show is because of my love for fashion and my super secret dream to create my own line of…. something.
But the cherry on top is watching Nicole Richie. She has come a long way from her show… whatever that was with Paris Hilton… and I have to say she’s quite possibly one of the best dressed celebrities. She’s got fabulous taste and I love the direction that she takes with the designers on the show.
A lace shift. What’s easier and more versatile to wear? And in this cotton candy pink color, it’s great for a spring baby shower, Easter brunch or a summer wedding. And the lace makes it dressy enough to be evening wedding appropriate too.
Robert Rodriguez’s collection, inspired by downtown LA’s street style, is full of bold colors and easy styles. Check out some of the other vibrant pieces.

LesPommettes is eye candy for the fashionista. I love visiting this site a couple times each week because they have such unique pieces, both apparel and accessories. The jewelry is amazing, and the look book is always inspiring.
Here are a few more laid back looks for summer. Lace, linen, stripes and girly hemlines are just a few of the fun details I look for in clothing… especially summer clothing! (All images from Lespommettes.com)
Valentino’s signature color “red” reeks of glamour and passion all rolled into one, and his Red Collection isn’t far behind. And the cost of this “less is more” little black dress won’t leave you reeling… that much.
Maybe somone else could put something like this to good use…
… is the amount of time it took me to fall in love with this Phillip Lim 3.1 dress two years ago, when it was in his Resort 2010 collection. I wanted it then, and am coveting it even more now. And in both colors.
I have an event in a couple of weeks, and am furiously trying to decide what to wear. Everything that is turning my head is LACE – very unlike me. But ladylike lace is all the rage this Spring (of course ol’ Phil was ahead of his time!)
I thought maybe I’d find it deeply discounted on eBay (I did – in a size 2) or possibly somewhere in the cyberworld of “get anything you want” but no luck there.
This is what happens when you start planning your outfit from the ground up… you always have great shoes, and nothing to wear.
