Having been a tween/teen in the 80’s, I know my way around a mix tape.
In the words of Miranda Lambert, “record the country countdown cause I couldn’t buy it yet” rings so true. While my tastes trended more towards 80’s pop artists like Cyndi Lauper, Spandau Ballet, Til Tuesday and U2, I was one of those kids taping Casey Kasem’s Top 40 every week so that I could hear my favorite songs on demand.
When I saw this fun coin purse from Kate Spade, I was instantly smitten. Printed with “Mix it Up,” it takes me back to the days of scrunchies, lavender eyeshadow and going to Pretty In Pink theater.
How fun it would be to pull that little reminder of 80’s nostalgia out of my handbag every day. Luckily, it’s just big enough to tuck my favorite No. 7 lipstick in too!
Seriously, polka dots were once relegated to little girls’ hair ribbons and scary clown outfits. But Kate Spade paired her “dots” with Lenox glass for the perfect, yet practical gift – the Larabee ring holder.
I’ve always wanted a ring holder. Every evening, I remove my diamond studs and wedding band. Sometimes, it’s in my bathroom. Sometimes in my jewelry box on my dresser. But if I’m tired and forget to take them off before bed, they eventually wake me in the night by digging into my ring finger or the side of my head.
So I asked for and recieved this adorable little ring holder to rest my daily jewelry staples. Another lovely outcome? I always know where they are in the morning. An added bonus for this girl who often misplaces things she can’t very well live without.
You know I love dresses. Cotton dresses. Little black dresses. Formal dresses and sundresses too.
And now I’m loving this little red dress from Kate Spade. It’s a perfectly shaped red shift with great lines, semi-cap sleeves and the best. color. EVER. Maraschino, if you must know.
I’m a major fan of Kate Spade and her new Paris-inspired line has me wanting more. And more. Dress this little frock up with animal print pumps or slip into gold sandals. And wear it virtually anywhere.
Kate Spade’s cute patterns and kicky colors paired with Keds’ classic and simple style will launch exclusively at Nordstrom this month. The price of the eight available styles is $75-$85 and are in honor of Kate Spade’s 20th anniversary.
I’m ready for sandals. How about Kate Spade Darla Sandals to be exact? These are absolutely the cutest with all the colors of the rainbow and natural-colored pantent straps. Three patent straps that I absolutely love. This is a great update from similar sandals last summer and I love the new look.
I know we’ve got a long way to go, but I’m needing to pump my collection of cute wedges, flip flops, maxi dresses, handbags and accessories.
Why? Because I will be spending the summer (all or most of it) pregnant. Yep, you heard it here… and here for a twist on the news… that this girl will be putting high fashion on hold in favor of roomy (and tent-like) clothing. But I digress…
Let’s just take a look and a drool at these pretties!
While the three boys in my life share a basket of warm hats, gloves, mittens and scarves, I have my own.
Stocking caps, berets, scarves, snoods and more fill my cup… er basket, to overflowing.
Last winter when I replaced a too big winter puffer coat, I picked a charcoal gray one. I’ve been collecting fun and brightly-colored accessories ever since. And that’s why these Kate Spade fingerless merino gloves are on my list.
Of course, I love the turqoise blue color and the whimsical dot print. I also like they they are long, just in case I want to wear them with shorter sleeves or push them up inside my coat for warmth.
I love the retro shape. I love the mod-ish print. I love that it’s easy in cotton with a touch of silk-blend pizzazz. I adore the round neckline and mini collar. And I’m smitten with how it’s shown here over something very short with black opague tights.
For a girl who adores toppers, this coat is definitely tops!
