Daily Covet: Antonio Berardi

I saw this outfit on one of my favorite blogs, FashionScanner.onsugar.com, and just had to post it.

In fact, Antonio Berardi’s Fall Collection for 2012 is altogether pretty amazing.

I love all the rich fabrics and textures, and of course, I adore the color turquoise.  Don’t ask me where I would wear this, but it’d be nice to look at in my closet every day!

Daily Covet: Falling for fall… already

New café capri in wool, J. Crew $118

It’s that time of year again.  It’s 1000 degrees out for days on end.  I’m sweating before I even leave my bathroom because of the 100% humidity.

And I’m thinking about wool.  Wool pants, that is.  J.Crew is already sending me my favorite catalogs with a hint of fall dressing in them.

The adorable cafe capri in wool is back and in some awesome new colors – too many really to choose my favorite… Ok, I like the “bright dahlia” ones!

And I also like that the inseam is only 27″ so that means, I don’t need to make a trip to my wondeful tailor, Sen.

Sorry Sen.

Whirlpetal Cardigan, Anthropologie sale $69.95

There’s nothing like bright red, orange and yellow leaves to get me into the mindset of the holidays ahead.  Halloween is almost here and that means Thanksgiving and Christmas will soon be upon us too.  With that in mind, I’ve got my eye out for some great looking duds to pull out of my closet at the drop of a hat.  I want to look like a bag lady because of all the holiday shopping I’ve done not because I’m wearing the oldest and ugliest my closet can produce!

With that said, I thought this fitted, feminine and fun sweater from Anthropologie would be the perfect piece to throw on with jeans and flats for a day of shopping or with a cute wool felted skirt and ankle boots for a holiday girls’ lunch.

And of course, I can always wear it when the Huskers go to the Big 12 Championship Game.  GO BIG RED!

Clinton (not Kelly) Trench, Anthropologie $188

It got a little chilly here in middle America this weekend.  It makes me think “coats!”  I have had a love affair with coats for a long, long time… I think it may have started with my first pea coat in the third grade.

I collect coats like some people collect coins or stamps and I’ve got my eye on my next coat.  Anthropologie has a hot little number called the “Clinton Trench.”  I’d like to think it’s named after another one of my favorites:  Clinton Kelly of What Not To Wear, but it’s doubtful.  Anyway I’m in the trenches this fall and I love this one.

Ruffles are big, trenches are big, black is always BIG and the Clinton Trench has it all, just like Clinton Kelly!
