A few weeks ago, I did a round up of upcoming spring fashions for “My paying gig.” In the article, I mentioned that leather will be just as hot for spring as it was for fall/winter in 2012.
So this DVF Delian Leather Dress is just what the “style doctor” ordered! I know it’s hard to tell, but from here the leather looks buttery soft and how chic that it’s also in a creamy white color – lighter for warm weather. Also looks like the peplum is here to stay for at least another season.
If I weren’t going to be sporting a baby bump all spring and summer, I’d be waiting for this hot, little number to go on sale!
Hi bloggy friends. Sorry I’ve been MIA, but the holidays and being sick have kept me from doing much posting… ok, any posting for weeks.
But! Never fear, I am back and of course, my wish list for my spring wardrobe is getting long already.
Today, this DVF Fleurette Dress is quite possibly one of my most favorite resort looks of the season.
Diane Von Furstenberg is one of my faves anyway — especially because I absolutely adore dresses. But her styles and fabrics are to.die.for.
This particular frock just looks so easy to wear and would be completely hot with both gold or silver sandals, bangles and oversized hoops. While I have a few months before I’d actually be able to wear this in my ‘hood, I’m craving it’s color now!
Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 15th because that’s the day that Diane Von Furstenberg’s children’s line will be launched at GAP. I’ve had a glimpse of some of the items, and it has me wishing that my neice’s birthday party was next Sunday instead of this Sunday.
I guess I’ll have to wait for another day… or abduct a little girl.
I made a resolution this year to purchase with purpose, and to put a little thought into what I’m wearing when I leave the house. Too many days last year, I went the easy route and spent entire days in my little black sweats, t-shirts and sports bras.
I have high hopes for the summer. I live in dresses and lightweight cotton skirts anyway, which makes it much easier to look put together. So this DVF dress spoke to me right away. It’s comfortable, casual but can also be brought up a notch with metallic shoes and accessories – perfect for taking the kids to pool or a glass of wine with my husband on a warm evening out.
DVF Minkino V-neck dress, neimanmarcus.com $375; Kelly & Katie Chainlink Stras Tote, dsw.com $50; Michael Kors oversized watch, bloomingdales.com $250; Mystique Gold Crystal Discs Sandals, pret-a-beaute.com $93; Kenneth Jay Lane Turquoise earrings, charmandchain.com $212
I have fallen in love all over again with DVF this past year. I’m not sure if I’ve just been more aware, or if she has really kicked it up a notch. But the woman known originally for her knit wrap dresses, is now doing an extra special line for girls.
