Daily Covet: Jane Mount Ideal Bookshelf

I have long been intrigued with Jane Mount and her ideal bookshelves.

I’m a reader, my husband is a literature buff, my small boys die to be read to.  That’s why I constantly keep my eye on 20×200’s collection of Jane Mount’s art.  She makes “ideal bookshelves” for everyone – over 600 to be exact.

Dr. Suess and Pat the Bunny grace a children’s bookshelf.  There is one with all the classics for the professor of literature, and now the perfect shelf for a fashionista.

Some of the books are ones I actually own, which makes Mount’s Fashion bookshelf even more fun.  This will definitely go to the top of my Christmas list!

Daily Covet: Raspberry High Arch Headboard

You really can’t look through a decor magazine without seeing one piece of major pop.  And what better piece to pop than your headboard – the focal point of your bedroom?

I’m loving this amazing rasberry, velvet headboard with nailhead trim.  It reminds me of old Hollywood or some swanky boutique hotel.  Either way, I’m envisioning it against my tiffany blue bedroom walls.

Now that’s a POP!

Daily Covet: A Royal Commode

Custom vanity, Ross & Main $667

At some point, we need to add a master bathroom to our Circa 1925 tudor.  And while we don’t have the money to do it yet, I am constantly reinventing what it would like it to look like in my head (and on my Pinterest boards!)

I always thought I’d want white pedestal sinks and subway tile, with a Carrerra marble shower and floor.  Can you guess what’s been in the way of our addition?  (<$$)

However, I found this beautiful, little chest on Ross & Main, and immediately envisioned dropping a Carrerra marble top and sink into it.  The perfect size to have two of them side by side for his and hers (read keep your stuff away from my stuff!) sinks.

And with the warm tones of the wood, I may have to rethink my tile selection too.  But I’m channeling my inner Louis XIV, while I picture golden sunburst mirrors over the top.

And now I’m thinking maybe a better choice for a powder room… which we’d also need to add.
