I have been wanting the perfect crossbody bag for a long time.
I don’t need a small bag often, but sometimes my outfit just calls for something somewhat casual, but still polished enough to wear for a night out.
This Chloé Marcie crossbody bag has been on my want list for a long, long time. Sadly, at this price point, it’ll probably stay there much longer.
This great Marc Jacobs bag, however, is far more reasonable. I love the detailing on the closure and while, I don’t love it in black, I do adore it in this bright blue color. And since I wear so much black and navy anyway, it’d be great to have a pop!
And since orange and pink is one of my most favorite color combinations (Don’t believe me? See here!), this tunic dress immediately caught my eye.
Shopping, lunching, not wanting to wear your little black sweats the 5th day in a row… just sayin’… this tunic dress has it all! And it has a lightweight, cotton construction for comfort with a silk blend that will dress it up a smidge.
Yesterday, it was over 70 degrees here in middle America. I actually used sunscreen on my face, and those of my kiddos, as well. I wore my sunglasses for bright sun, instead of for dreary gray. (It makes my eyes water almost more than sun does!)
But today, the temperature – a balmy 61 when I got up at 8 a.m. – is now 48. Winds and gray skies are ever present, and I’m feeling the need for another pair of sunglasses, without the heavy, tortoise frames and super black lenses.
These Chloé Aviator frames are so cool with their subtle, purple-hued lenses – perfect for blocking out the UV that bugs my eyes, not the sun. They also have unique and trés cool, lightweight frames perfect for a day like today.
Can I justify another pair of expensive sunglasses. Silly question, right?!
So, you made it through your Friday afternoon pre-holiday office bash and you may still be nursing yourself through Saturday afternoon. But come Sunday afternoon, your neighbors are doing their annual holiday progressive to eat, drink and be merry. (If you’re anything like me – to show off how much time and effort, you’ve put into your Christmas décor!)
You’ll need something casually cute. And most likely some slip on-and-off footwear, if you live in the colder (read sloppier) climate like me. And your cape will be just as easy to throw on and off – or to just leave on!
