Daily Covet: Bright Ideas

My house was built in 1927 and while I love almost everything about it, one of the downsides is the lighting situation in the living room.  It’s a large room with two small lamps on one long wall.  There is no wiring for sconces or overhead lighting, such as a beautiful chandelier.  A contractor once told me that it would be seriously difficult (read expensive) to rewire up the walls and through to the middle of the ceiling.

However, I am now thinking that I need to succumb to the expense and the difficulty that a contractor (thankfully not me!) would  encounter to give me better light in my living room.  Not to mention, the beauty of one of these gorgeous chandeliers from Horchow.
